The rural complex Los Perales is located in the village of El Mocanal, north of the island of El Hierro, the smallest of the Canary Islands, located at latitude 27 ° N and longitude 18 ° W, the westernmost territory of Spain, and further south Europe, of 278 square kilometers and 10,500 inhabitants. It was named a Biosphere Reserve in 2000 by UNESCO.
